Today I will review the Armani Code Absolu eau de parfum for women for you. The summer said farewell to us and the autumn is ready to make its entrance. When the weather is changing, I like to switch my perfumes to get in a warmer and cozy mood. I was scrolling through the Notino.nl webshop and then I saw they offered this new Armani Code Absolu fragrance. I only tried one Armani scent before named Si Fiori, which was so good! So why not try another one? While Si Fiori is very floral, the Absolu Eau De Parfum is a whole different level. Let’s get started!
Armani is a big name out there when it comes to perfume and makeup. I own tons of their lip products but only tried two perfumes now. I picked the Armani Code Absolu because the notes convinced me that this was the perfect perfume for this fall! I always like to switch my perfumes when the weather starts the change, or am I the only one?
When you look at the notes I can describe this scent as Oriental Floral: all the notes remind me of a great mix of all the flora and fauna of the South East Asia.
- Top notes: ginger, neroli and mandarin oranges
- Middle notes: jasmine, orange blossoms and tuberose
- Base notes: tonka bean, vanilla and sandalwood
The bottle has this stunning shape and exotic look in my eyes by the perfect match of the black and gold cap and glass bottle. When you look at the golden part, you see that the middle part is see through while the upper and down part are slowly turning into gold. Always love it when great brands like Armani pay lots of attention to these smallest details.
Armani Code Absolu comes in a 30ml, 50ml and 75ml bottle. I picked the 30ml as I already own a lot of fragrances and I can never finish them unfortunately.
Let’s be honest: I usually pick the sweet, floral, musky fragrances. When sometimes has tonic beans, sandalwood and neroli it has to be something really amazing to make me fall in love with it. When you create such an oriental and mysterious fragrance it has to be something you love, otherwise this would be something you will absolutely not like to wear.
For me it was kinda challenging. When I first applies the Armani Code Absolu I was kinda blown away by the heavy ginger and mandarin oranges notes. It was so intense that I was afraid that I made the wrong decision to order the Armani Code Absolu. Every perfume lover knows that a real perfume will get his final fragrance after approximately 10-20 minutes.
After time when by, the intense ginger and mandarin scent disappeared and the tuberose, vanilla and sandalwood appeared. This final phase made the Armani Code Abolsu warm, mysterious, oriental, fresh, woody and soft.
Is the Armani Code Absolu something that everyone will love? Only a real perfume expert and loves will appreciate the fragrance of the Absolu. Some say it reminds them of the Dior Addict because it has the same oriental intensity.
Personally I love the Armani Code Absolu after 20 minutes when the top notes has toned down and the middle and base notes appear. It creates a more softer and woody fragrance to the perfume which is more my taste. The bottle makes it also a stunning piece to have in your collection with the black cap and slick golden bottle.
