If you don’t know Summer Fridays masks yet, then you where living underneath a stone. This new skincare brand has taken over Instagram and everyone has been loving it. They are on the pricey side, so that’s why I will review all 3 of them for you: Jet Lag, Overtime and their newest R+R mask. Just to give you a good impression what it does for my oily skin and hopefully you can decide which one will work better for you. Or just take them all 3?

Summer Fridays was founded by two bloggers named Marianna Hewitt and Lauren Gores, who didn’t found the perfect face mask yet. It all started with the Jet Lag Mask, because they couldn’t find a great mask that will hydrate your skin when you skipped a few time zones or when you are just at home all day. With all the clean and vegan ingredients, this sell-out mask became well known under the celebrities like Kim Kardashian and Jessica Alba. A must have you can say!

Summer Fridays Jet Lag Mask (£42) was their first and became an instant hit. The hydrating mask came in a blue tube which was a new kind of minimalistic design you didn’t see very often in the beauty industry. My first though was that it looked like a toothpaste tube, but the inside is totally different. I’ve seen the Jet Lag Mask just everywhere on Instagram and I knew that someday I had to try it out myself.
What does it? Great for stressed out skin or when you skipped a few timezones on the plane. It hydrates the skin, plumps away all the fine lines, gently exfoliates and makes skin look dewy.
I quickly tried it out and had some mixed thoughts about it. As an oily skin girl I liked it, but not love as all the other skincare junkies on Instagram (I wrote a review in back in sep 2018, back then I thought it was great but not perfect). The mask is a white light consistency that applies like a cream and has a fresh fragrance. I used my Jet Lag Mask before going to bed without applying anything else and slept with it or as a 10 minute mask. The next day my skin looked okay but not wow compared to other overnight masks. The hydration level of my skin was good but not as soft and smooth as I expected. After using it several times in different ways (10 minutes mask, primer and overnight mask) I discovered that the Jet Lag Mask was not made for me. Also I don’t like the fragrance, it actually reminds me of toothpaste when I apply it and I prefer to avoid menthol fragrance. I think this mask works better if you have dry skin, you will notice a lot of change. Anyway, I still have it on my bedside for those nights when I’m too lazy to apply a 10-steps Korean skincare routine. It does the job but there are better hydration masks on the market for this price.

The second was their Summer Fridays Overtime Mask (£39), which took his time to be launched. A lot of people where still in the hype of the Jet Lag Mask because it was a well received product in the beauty industry. People became crazy when they heard a second mask was on it’s way (including me!). This time they came with an exfoliating mask wrapped in a beautiful golden tube.
What does it? It exfoliates the skin to make it look brighter, hydrates, removes dead skin cells, more balanced complexion, soft and soothes skin and preventing collagen-damaging.
After my not so wow experience with Jet Lag Mask I couldn’t wait to try the Overtime Mask. The Overtime Mask has a cinnamon fragrance (I think it is the pumpkin) and a yellow color filled with apricot seed powder that creates the exfoliating effect on the skin. Applying feels really relaxing and no harsh feeling on the skin, even with the apricot seed powder in it. After massaging it for 60 second and let it sit for 10 minutes, I washed my face and could instantly see and feel the difference on my skin. It look more even, brighter and super soft. The change is so dramatically and the difference with other exfoliating products is that my skin feels super hydrating! No dry pulling effect and almost feels like I had moisturizer on my face. The hydration makes my fave almost glow up! I absolutely love this exfoliating product and how gentle it feels on my skin. I think every skin type will love this exfoliating mask, even the sensitive ones as the seed powder are super gentle.
Ingredients: Water/Aqua/Eau, Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Oil, Glycerin, Isopropyl Palmitate, Carthamus Tinctorius (Safflower) Seed Oil, Glyceryl Stearate SE, Cetearyl Alchol, Ceteareth-20, Prunus Armeniaca (Apricot) Seed Powder, Beta-Carotene, Acrylates/Palmeth-25 Acrylate Copolymer, Avena Sativa (Oat) Kernel Protein, Cucurbita Pepo (Pumpkin) Seed Oil, Cucurbita Pepo (Pumpkin) Seed Extract, Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Flower Extract, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Flower Extract, Melissa Officinalis Leaf Extract, Cinnamomum Cassia Leaf Oil, Eugenia Caryophyllus (Clove) Leaf Oil, Myristica Fragrans (Nutmeg ) Kernel Oil, Elettaria Cardamomum Seed Oil, Zingiber Officinale (Ginger) Root Oil, Tocopheryl (Vitamin E) Acetate, Xanthan Gum, Tetrasodium Glutamate Diacetate, Phenoxyethanol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Cinnamic Aldehyde, Eugenol

Last but absolutely not least is the Summer Fridays R+R Mask (£46) which is their newest glow mask. This R+R mask came quickly after the Overtime Mask, I was not even ready for this fast launch! This gorgeous soft orange/pink tube is filled with super ingredients to make you face glow up. I saw the big launch of Summer Fridays R+R mask with telephone booths decorated with roses, they made it big.
What does it? It makes your skin smoother than smooth, brighter, hydrates, soothes, protects your complexion, reduces dark spots, lock in moisture, calms irritation and softly exfoliates.
I had really high expectations of the R+R mask as everyone on Instagram was raving about this product and immediately purchased it when it was just launched. I already had a weakness for the beautiful color of the packaging, but what’s inside is ten times better! The moment you open the tube, this soft petal rose scent escapes. When I applied it on my skin it felt like soft butter, it is so smooth. The product is almost transparent and has little rose flower powder in it which gently exfoliates the skin. You almost don’t feel the mask on your face, that’s how smooth and relaxing it feels. After 10 minutes I removed the mask with a damp cloth so all the essential oils will remain on my skin and keep the hydration. The results are an absolutely soft and radiant skin, it looks like my skin had a facial. The radiance is mostly visible as my skin looks even, brighter, smoother and calm. The whole experience was amazing as the rose oil was keep lingering on me during that 10 minutes.
Ingredients: Carthamus Tinctorius (Safflower) Seed Oil, Sucrose, Silica, Sesamum Indicum (Sesame) Seed Oil, Argania Spinosa (Argan) Kernel Oil, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Hydrogenated Vegetable Oil, Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate (Vitamin C), Rosa Damascene (Bulgarian Rose) Flower Oil, Rosa Gallica (Rose) Flower Powder, Tocopherol (Vitamin E), Persea Gratissima (Avocado) Oil, Vitis Vinifera (Grape) Seed Oil, Tocopheryl (Vitamin E) Acetate, All Natural Fragrance, Phenoxyethanol, Ethylhexylglycerin

Conclusion
I was lucky to get all 3 masks gifted, but I understand that purchasing each of them would be an expensive purchase. If it was me, I would only get the R+R mask as it has this amazing experience and does so much for my skin. The glow and radiance my face has after just 10 minutes can be compared with a professional facial. The Jet Lag and Overtime Mask are great products, but they can be replaced with others products especially the Jet Lag Mask. After owning it for more than 6 months I can’t say that I love it, more that I enjoy using the product when I’m lazy. The Overtime Mask is great, love the fragrance and gentle exfoliation. But if I had to pick one, it would be the R+R Mask.
Have you tried any of these Summer Fridays masks? Which one is your favorite?
