Always wanted to have a glowy-dewy skin, looking like a celeb? Curious how Kim K maintains her flawless skin? Summer Friday’s created the Jet Lag Mask to boost your skin with hydration wich leaves your skin freaking dewy, nourished and gorgeous! This magical mask can be used in many ways to create a happy skin and happy you. If you are a skincare junkie like me you may have seen this mask going ham on Instagram, because everyone loves it. How can you not like a facial mask? Every skin needs their moisture. Come read my first impression when I try the Summer Friday’s Jet Lag Mask.
I follow a few huge Instagram accounts that are always up to date when it comes to new skincare. They always know how to seduce us with their beautiful Instagram posts, even tho I don’t need new products. I do struggle with really bad skin lately: it’s been dehydrated, acne around the jawline and dry patches in my neck. So it is never too late to start using the Jet Lag Mask. When I started my blog I was more into makeup but after I got older I realized how important it is to have a good skin, because beautiful makeup starts with great skin!
A jet lag mask sounds like something you need when you are tired from travelling 16 hours on an airplane with a yelling spoiled child, and didn’t drink enough water or when you are just tired af. I can remember when I just came back from Japan and South Korea that my skin needed some serious TLC the days after I came home. So my expectations are high when I hear “Jet Lag Mask”.

The Jet Lag Mask comes in a slick and simple tube that feels like your toothpaste. Covered in the most beautiful shade of blue and white letters. When I just got it in the mail I was surprised by how big it was. On Instagram it looked such smaller than I expected. The bigger the better right? I’m not sure if it is only me, but when I grabbed the tube I noticed that the white letters description on the back of the packaging started to fade away. Is it because of my sweaty hands or do more people have this?
Also, I think that the packaging is just perfect when you are travelling. Throw it in your carry-on and use it during your long flight while you watch a Disney movie. No hustle like when you have to apply a sheetmask. I just never have the balls to use a sheetmask on a plane, so the Jet Lag Mask is my solution!
When I received my mask in the mail I couldn’t wait to try it out. That day I was taking flatlay pictures in my room for my Instagram, so it was an easy quite day. I was so curious that I immediately opened the tube when I was on my room. My little cat Lilo was not amused when she smelled how fresh the mask was: it has a hint of peppermint and fruits in my opinion. I was expecting something more soft like milk (wtf milk) or vanilla. When I just opened the tube the fragrance was quiet strong, but the moment you apply it on the skin it starts to get softer.
You can use the Jet Lag Mask in many ways: apply it for 10 minutes as a wipe away mask, use it under your makeup as a hydrated primer or apply before going to bed as an overnight mask. I used mine as a 10 minutes mask so I could immediately see and feel the results for the first time!
As a lazy girl on my days off I could really use a mask that day. On a clean skin I applied a visible layer all over my face and neck. I try to apply it gently because I want to avoid that peeling effect which may can cause when you are massaging the product too much. It feels like a super thick and hydrated moisturizer, nothing like your usual facial mask. When it is on the skin in turns into a velvet smooth layer that doesn’t feel sticky at all. You can already apply makeup on top if you want to (skip the wipe-off step and use it as a hydrating makeup base). Imagine being on the plane with this mask or anywhere else, you can watch your movie, do the laundry or even go exercise without having to worry that someone sees your mask or that it starts to melt away!
I was a bit skeptical when I waited 10 minutes. Because the mask turn into an invisible layer on the skin it looks like you didn’t apply anything. I saw no difference in the redness of my skin, but I was still wearing the mask. After more than 10 minutes waiting (I forgot time and the mask, because you don’t feel it laying on the skin. Almost 30 minutes passed by before I noticed that I had to wipe off my face) I ‘removed’ the mask with a wet cloth and gently wiped away the mask. When I did this I could immediately feel my skin change into a smooth silicone kinda skin because it almost felt unreal.
The texture of my skin changed from a bumpy/dry skin into a smooth and even canvas that didn’t have any pores or dry patches. It almost looked like I had a new layer of skin because it didn’t feel like it was mine, all thanks to the vitamins, ceramides and a mix of antioxidants and gently exfoliating extracts. I saw a slightly difference in my skintone. It looked less red and irritated, especially around my nose and mouth. I also applied some extra product around my eyes because Summer Friday’s claimed that it could reduce puffiness and fine lines. Their claims are no disappointment because I could clearly see a difference in the size of my eye bags. Fine lines are not my first world problems ate the age of 25 so I didn’t notice any difference there.
I can totally understand why people like Kim K and Jessica Alba love this facial mask. Being a celeb means that you have to look great at all times and the Summer Fridays Jet Lag Mask really creates the illusion that your skin just had a facial. When I tried the Summer Fridays Jet Lag Mask for the first time I was a bit skeptical because I thought that if I would do a korean skincare routine of 5 steps that the results are going to be the same. But the mask does so much more than that!
On the Saturday I used the mask after a week filled with hectic work and lack of sleep. My skin looked tired, dry and I had tons of dry patches from pimples I just popped or overusing glycolic acid treatments. Irritated spots around the nose and mouth and eye bags that have their own name. You can use the mask in many ways (overnight mask or even as a hydrating primer underneath your makeup) but I used mine for a 10 minutes treatment, finishing of with a weth cloth to wipe/bloth away the mask. I ended up with a super hydrated and even looking skin that almost looked like I was wearing a silicone primer: my pores looked less bigger and the red spots on my face were cleared up. Uber-dewy is the right term to describe the results of this mask!
If I would ever repurchase this mask? On CultBeauty.com it’s being sold for £42.00 which is a lot of money for a mask. But for the results and the sake of a good-looking skin I would not be bothered to spend that amount of money for this result! Do you need it? Absolutely, if Kim K and Jessica Alba approves this mask than you would love it.
