Haai beautiful!
Summer is saying goodbye to us right now but that doesn’t mean we can’t look like we just came of the beach! Today I will review the Estée Lauder Bronze Goddess Powder Bronzer for you in the shade 02 Medium. I’ve seen several beauty lovers taking pictures of this beautiful compact but I never tried the actual bronzing powder. When I just received it I made an unboxing video of my pr package on my Instagram and a friend of my immediately said: this bronzer is so amazing, it works great! Okay, now I was even more excited to try this baby out. I know I might be the last person on this earth who tries out this beauty, but let’s see what my thoughts are. Let’s get started!

INGREDIENTS
The first thing that came on my mind when receiving this item was: woaaah, this compact looks gorgeous! I love the brown spots at the front of the bronzer. To me it gives an instant summer feeling because the brown spots reminds me of a few sunglasses I own with this pattern. The product name is printed in gold letters and the cap of the compact can be opened by pushed the lid. On the inside you will find a matching mini brush which you can use when you are on the go. I never use these brushes which are included in palettes or compacts. I always find them way too harsh and I just prefer using my own brushes. It does have the perfect shape for the forehead, cheekbones and jaw line to create that pop of summer glow, but the bristles are way too hard for me. My cat lilo loves to play with this mini brushes fyi hahah.
The Bronze Goddess Powder Bronzer is available in 4 shades: Light, Medium, Medium/Deep and Deep. I received the shade 02 Medium which still feels a little bit too light for me, but when fall and winter are coming I think it will look great on my pale skin!
It is great to see that Estée Lauder offers 4 different bronzer shades because some brands don’t even offer more than 2 shades. My experience is that Estée Lauder always creates their product with a big color range, from white to dark. They don’t exclude any skincolor!
This can’t be really captured on a picture but this bronzer contains the most subtile shimmers I’ve ever seen, you can barely see it. I prefer matte bronzers because I have super oily skin and it only makes my skin look less attractive. Luckily this bronzer is oil-free so I don’t need to worry that it will disturb my skin.
The shade is pretty fair as I first told you while this is the 02 Medium (for my summer skin, when winter is coming I think it will be a perfect match). It has a beautiful brown/terracotta kinda color but no hint of orange which is perfect. I dislike the bronzers that makes me look like an oompa loompa.
First I grab my Zoeva Cosmetic Blush Brush. It is my favorite brushes for the cheeks because I use it for my blushes and bronzers. It has the perfect round tapered shape for the cheeks. I like to swirl my brush 2 times into the powder, this amount works the best for me on every cheek.
With a gently stroke along my cheekbones I apply the powder. At first it looks really light the bronzer like nothing is coming of, but after a few seconds you can see the color pop on your skin. I do have to say that this bronzer has to be built up in at least two layers to create te perfect glow, which is great for me because I can have a heavy hand sometimes.
Don’t forget that this bronzer is also great for the body, especially the shoulders and décolletage. I always contour my nose with the Spectrum Collections B6 Blending Eyebrush. I think this shade is too light for contouring my nose or I have to apply at least 4 layers to create the best shading effect. That’s why I only use the Bronze Goddess for the cheeks, forehead and jaw line.
After applying the bronzer my skin looks flawless and event. The bronzer looks matte and healthy on my skin and it look smooth overall. Sometimes my skin can look patchy around the cheek and under the eyes after applying blush and bronzer, but that’s not the problem with the Bronze Goddess.
An oily girl like me loves these kinds of bronzers. Because of the special oil-control complex my skin becomes less oily than usual. The shade will be perfect when fall is coming because right now with my summer tan it is a little bit too light for me. When applying the powder on my skin it feels super smooth and is it easy to blend. A little side note is that this powder is buildable which means that makeup lovers like me, who like a more extreme bronzed face, have to apply at least 2 layers to get the right amount of shading on the skin. Or purchase a shade darker than usual, Estée Lauder offers 4 bronzer shades so there has to be one that fits your skintone!
The reason why I love this bronzer is because it is big. It is on the pricy side (€42,-) but you get a lot of product. You can use it for face and body and doesn’t create that weird orange finish in your skin. I would say that people like me with oily skin will love this bronzer because it will create a beautiful glow on the skin with really subtle shimmers and without making the skin more oily. Summer doesn’t have to end now, you can keep maintaining this summer tan by using the Bronze Goddess Bronzer Powder. Don’t forget the gorgeous compact, the main reason for me to love this bronzer!
