Today I’m going to talk about the Bee Venom Night and Bee Venom Day Cream SPF30 by Rodial. Oh men, I love everything that contains honey or something made by bees. I had the chance to pick 3 items from Rodial to test out and I didn’t hesitate to pick the Bee Venom! Thank you so much Mooi PR for sending these amazing goodies <3 I wrote a review about Rodial before and I really enjoyed it, so I have high expectations about this range. Are you looking for a great day or night cream? Let’s get started!
“I am very proud to have revolutionised the skincare market since 1999 with high tech skincare and innovative make up collections”
Rodial Bee Venom Night
An advanced performance night gel that works to address multiple issues whilst you sleep. Gentle retinol microspheres and vitamin c help retexture and improve the appearance of uneven skin tone and pore size whilst soy isoflavones promote skin elasticity and re-densify. Simultaneously, melittin peptide helps to plump and firm the look of fine lines and wrinkles for a smoother, younger looking complexion. This is the perfect overnight hydrating gel to restore a healthy, youthful complexion.
Gently massage onto a cleansed face and neck and allow to absorb thoroughly. Use nightly. Store in a dry location at room temperature (<25°)
- Bee Venom: Helps increase blood circulation.
- Soy Isoflavone: Plumps and firms skin.
- VCIP Vitamin C: Brightens the complexion and helps reduce age spots, sun spots and pigmentation.
- Hyaluroic Filling Spheres: Intense hydration reinforces the skin’s natural moisture barrier.

The jar of the Bee Venom Night is something I’ve never seen before or owned! Okay, I did see this with the Kate Somerville Goat Milk packaging but I never had it in my hands. This is soooo fun to use and hygienic! Press on both sides of the lid and the product will appear in the center. Wipe it of with your fingers and you can start using it! No more spatula’s or finger dipping in your cream, this is the best way to keep the air away and being hygienic. My only concern is that the left over of this jar will be hidden away, unless you break the jar open. The amount of product when you press the lid is enough to cover the face and neck because the texture of this cream is almost like gel, it spreads easily on the skin!
What do you imagine when you hear “Bee Venom Night Cream”? Ofcourse honey! This night cream is delicious to use on the skin and a real treatment for your nose. It has the best honey fragrance and don’t be scared because it is not too overpowering. Maybe I expected a bit more honey fragrance but just call me a crazy lady. I’m obsessed with honey to be honest! When I was younger I always ate a spoon of honey everyday because it gave me a tingly sensation in my mouth.
The cream is like I told you before a gel like texture: it is easy to spread on the skin even when it’s not prepped. With one pump you have enough to cover the face and neck. Don’t expect this night cream to sink into the skin right away. Even tho it feels like gel it takes a while before your skin absorbs the cream. Surprisingly I don’t get disturbed by the feeling of the heavy cream, it feels quite comfortable! The combination of the honey scent and the moist feeling on my skin makes me feel relaxed, crazy right?
The day cream is stored in a long bottle. My other Rodial day cream from the Snake range is also the same shape bottle. It comes with a pump which is easy to use: you can give it a light press so the right amount comes out. Do you know how terrible the pump from the MAC Pro Longwear concealer is? Well this is totally the opposite! No more struggles with getting too much product out of the bottle, just choose your own amount! I do like the slick look of the bottle but I like the see trough finish of the Bee Venom Night more, this one is solid yellow. But hé, I have to stop complaining!
Compared to the Bee venom Night the Day Cream has a subtile honey fragrance. In my opinion this could be more heavy like the Night Cream. It is almost not noticeable, kind of sad because I really wanted to love this product because of the honey fragrance (and claims). The product is totally different from the Night Cream, in color and texture. The texture is clearly thicker than the Night Cream and more the same like other day creams (white consistency). When applying it on the face it feels soft but it doesn’t glide on the skin so be sure to make dots on your face so you can easily blend it out. I have the feeling that I have to use more product compared to the Night Cream. It doesn’t gives my skin a sticky feeling after applying which is great so you can start your makeup routine immediately.

When I used the Bee Venom Night before going to sleep, I wake up with the softest skin ever! I can believe how soft it is, almost the same feeling when you just exfoliated your skin after 2 weeks of doing nothing. My skin looks glowy, healthy and even. Sometimes it even looks like my skin looks more plump. On times when my skin is in top condition I don’t need to apply a lot of day products after I used the Bee Venom Night. I can honestly say that this is my favorite cream for at night! In my opinion it works better when you don’t combine it with other products.
The Bee Venom Day SPF30 is another story. My skin feels moisturized, not too overwhelming for my oily skin. I’m too afraid to leave my sunscreen out of this routine so I always make sure to include it even when this cream contains SPF30 (I prefer something with SPF50 / PA+++). After wearing is a whole day my skin didn’t lack any moisture but I did noticed that my T-zone became more oily than usual. I can’t see anything during the day if my skin became more plump. The only moment I really feel and see the results of this product is when I take of my makeup: my skin looks even and glowy! Usually when I take of my makeup my skin can look even more tired than during the morning, or is that something everyone experience?
Overall I really like both products but as you may noticed I have one favorite: Bee Venom Night. This product shows it’s results immediately when you wake up! I love how it feels on my skin and the texture. It glides on my skin and you only need a small amount to cover your face. The packaging is something new for me and hygienic to use, it makes my night routine more fun! This is also the product I would recommend to everyone, because you are never too young to start with your fine lines or using retinol. It will change your skin the first time when you use it.
Which one do you prefer?
