Beauty & Health Box #1

Hello beautiful,

Every year I tell myself the same thing: this new year I have to eat healthier, exercise more and be a better version of myself. I can’t remember when I really achieved all of those things when I promise myself this every beginning of the year. But this may help me: a Beauty & Health Box! I received this lovely box from House of Rebels because I think they knew I needed this (did they noticed that I gained weight on my selfies? Or that I talked about fastfood too much on Instagram? ;p ). Anyway, this box may be the first step to change myself this 2017! I’m not going to promise myself anything because the most important thing is to be happy for me at the moment. Let’s see what I’ve got!

House of Rebels created the Beauty & Health Box to introduce brands and their products to online influencers. They launched this box so we can have a sneak peek of the products that are going to be launched very soon or need a little bit more attention. So you can see this as one big PR package with the theme Beauty & Health! I saw different other bloggers with the same package and some of them have different products (usually The Body Shop item can be different sometimes). Every other time I will receive a HUGE box with amazing goodies and it was so much fun to get this parcel! Even my cat Lilo loved the big pink box (I’m sorry I don’t have a picture of it, it was so huge my dad told me it took all the space so he threw it away).

If you follow me close on Instagram you may noticed this amazing foundation cushion by The Body Shop. Cushions are finally breaking through here in the Western world. The whole idea behind the cushions is that you can create a beautiful second skin by tapping the puf on your face. The cushion absorbs all the product and the moment you dip the puf in the sponge a small amount will be picked up. Give it a few taps on your face and it will appear smooth and even on your skin. The Body Shop cushion contains SPF 25 and PA++ which is a great during our not so sunny summers here, but keep in mind to always wear a second layer sunscreen to fully protect the skin!

A new brand is rising! Oliveway is a new brand that just launched this year in The Netherlands. I got this amazing Moisturizing & protective BB face cream, I almost forgot that they still exist. Lately I’m a more full coverage person so I will only use a BB Cream when I want to achieve a natural/no makeup look (maybe when I do the groceries?). It will give you a light coverage, corrects imperfections and it makes your skin looks healthy. Sad that they only offer one shade of this BB Cream because it doesn’t match my NC20 skintone. I bet I can make my colleagues at work very happy with this cream! This item has NO Mineral Oil, Petrolatum/Paraffin Wax, Parabens, Propylene Glycol, Ethanol amines, SLES, ALES, PEG, Synthetic Dye, Phthalates, Alcohol, Retinol, Animal by-products, Animal Testing, Wheat/Nuts (added or traces).

Another Oliveway beauty! If you follow me for a while you know that I’m tired of getting handcreams, whenever it is in a beautybox or goodie bag: I never use it. I’m blessed with soft hydrated hands so I will never have a handcream in my handbag or on my night stand. But I’m always willing to try them out to see if it’s also works on hands that are already hydrated (maybe I should become a hand model)! A restoring and renewal handcream always sounds lovely to me, especially when they contain anything made by bees. I have to say that I’m really surprised how well my hands feel after using this cream. It is easy to absorb so you won’t end with sticky hands.

Fruit Drops by Cool Bear is a lemonade syrup that doesn’t contain any added sugar! Without knowing you may have eaten 15-20 sugar cubes a day, especially kids these days. This lemonade syrup is made with stevia sweets, not really bad compared to sugar cubes but still makes your lemonade taste sweet. I’m not a fan or drinking water, I always need some kind of taste in it. With this I can add it anytime, anywhere! Give it a good squeeze, add water and enjoy! This may be the best lemonade syrup I’ve ever used and I tried them all, the A-brands and the B-brands. I finished this within 2 weeks, that’s how much I loved this. The taste is Cassis Apple, great combination and I think everyone will love this.

Hmmm, I’m not a big fan of using vitamines or minerals in a pill. I’m more of eating the right products instead of taking supplements. But I understand that it is not possible for everyone to eat the right amount of food. That’s why Vitals created an Everyday (Elke Dag) supplement so you receive the right amount of vitamines and minerals each day. My little sister is a big believer of using these supplements, everyday before bed she start to select her supplement for when she wakes up. I think it is ridiculous to use them when you are healthy and I’m too afraid to use them. Did you see how big and long these things are? I just can’t even look at it.

Another handcream, but this time by jane iredale! This brand is well known to me, you can read my review about the Jane Iredale products here and here. Jane iredale is an amazing skincare and makeup brand which is created without any harmful ingredients or tested on animals. You can literally sleep with their makeup because it won’t harm your skin, that’s how pure and great the ingredients are. The handcream is called Handdrink because it is supposed to give your hands a hydration boost. I really like the handcream but if I had to pick the Oliveway or the jane iredale I would choose the Oliveway! I think that this one has so much more to offer as a handcream.

The oh so famous OGX shampoo brand, used by all the great American celebrity’s! I’ve seen this brand several times before on the beauty platform but I never understood the hype about this brand.Well, I can tell you know that this shampoo makes you feel and look beautiful! It really works. The Brazilian Keratin Smooth Shampoo is for dry hair that has a lack of shine. Because of the coconut oil and the keratin proteins it will make your hair soft and silky. The avocado oil and cocao butter makes the hair healthy and shiny! All these ingredients are the perfect potion for a delicious smelling hair. This smells like money, like when you went to a very expensive hairdresser. I love it!

I’m so happy that House of Rebels came with this amazing beautybox! So far I’m really excited by all these amazing items and I used them all (except for the vitamin pills). My favorite items of this box are the Cool Bear Fruit Drops and The Body Shop Foundation Cushion. The lemonade syrup is just delicious and I will keep my eyes open if I can find a bigger bottle of this. The foundation cushion is a favorite item because it is makeup, and I just love makeup. The cushion is a perfect color match for me and I love how my skin looks like when I use this. This is going to be a fun beautybox every other time and I can’t wait for the next one. Stay tuned!
