Kylie Cosmetics: Kyshadows, Bronze and Burgundy Palette

Kylie Cosmetics: Kyshadows, Bronze and Burgundy Palette

Hii lovely’s!

Today I’m going to talk about Kylie Cosmetics Kyshadows in the versions Bronze and Burgundy. Kylie Jenner is slowly expanding her collection, this time with eyeshadows! I was so thrilled when these palettes came out, so I had to get them both. I can say that I’m a big fan of her makeup brand by now because everytime when she release something, I have to get at least one item. But are her Kyshadows a big hit? Are they worth the hype or are they just normal eyeshadows? Let’s see what my thoughts are about these palettes.

Left: Bronze Palette – Right: Burgundy Palette

First of all, her designs at the front of the palettes are so cute! I love the simplicity and the metallic colors that show which palette it is (the tears have a bronze or burgundy color range). You may notice that the bronze palette has a more gray/dark effect around the eyes, while the new burgundy is less darker. The size of the palette is super convenient and compact, it fits in your hand and it’s easy to take it with you in your handbag or during traveling.

At the back of the palette you will find a sticker with the ingredients and the colors that are included in the palette. I find this so convenient that she has this at the back of her palette instead of printing it on a clear foil inside the palette (I hate it when brands do that, I always lose the clear foils after a while).

Yaaas girl, I’m so happy to see these two palettes next to each other. Both of them are perfect and beautiful. I’m so excited and can’t wait to dip my skinny fingers into the powders to swatch them for you! Each palette has the perfect color combination which contains mattes, satin and metallic shadows. But do you see what I see? The brown color left under at both palettes look pretty much the same (Bronze: color Hematite, Burgundy: color Brick). We have to see if they turn out the same. Each palette has one color that instantly grabs your attention. That is of course how she came with the names of these palettes.

My first thought that came up in my mind was: the middle eyeshadow! The perfect orange warm shade that will be a perfect crease color. Another thing was: mehh the second shade doesn’t do much to me, no tingly sensation. This was the first palette I took swatches from, so the first time I ever touched a Kyshadow palette. It is so buttery! Woaw, I didn’t expect this at all even tho a lot of Youtubers like Jalcyn Hill talked about this palette. I think everyone said that the Kyshadows were super buttery and pigmented: yes they are! I can confirm that these powders feel like heaven.

My favorite shades are Goldstone, Quartz, Citrine and Tiger Eye. These colors are so pretty and I use them on and off with different combinations. Tiger Eye is the perfect crease shade for my NC25 skintone. Goldstone is absolutely beautiful in the eye corners or as an all over the lid to make it more glam. I can’t stop saying that all of these shades are creamy and they blend amazingly with every shade in this palette. The only down side is that there is a little bit of loose powder when you dip your brushes or fingers into the palette. But no problem for me at all, I’m always very careful with my makeup items.

The only color in this palette that I haven’t use is Obsidian. I’m just not that type of girl who uses black eyeshadow. I like to use dark brown, gray and black shimmers, but matte black goes to far for me. I always like the soft natural look so I prefer using a dark brown of gray color instead of black.

O my god, this is going to be my favorite eyeshadow palette (alongside the ABH Modern Renaissance palette). The burgundy color and the warm shades are so pretty, that’s all I can say. I think everyone agrees with me that Kylie Jenner did an amazing job with launching this palette for the fall season. These colors are perfect for the cold days and you may can say that this is going to be a big hit! Ofcourse the color called Burgundy was screaming at me when I opened this palette.

Other people who also purchased both palettes may noticed that the Burgundy palette has less fall out than the Bronze palette, or is it just me? When I made swatches of this palette I had less fall out when I dipped my fingers into the shadows. Hmmm, maybe it was just me. The texture is still the same: creamy, soft, buttery, amazing. I must say that the pigmentation is awesome, but not that awesome as the ABH Modern Renaissance  palette. I’m not going to make a big problem out of it because I always use a small amount of shadow, and it is easier because you can really build the pigmentation up now.

I love every shade of this palette! I tried all of them with different eye-looks and combinations and they go so well together. My boyfriend was complaining about a few shades which looked almost the same as the Bronze palette to him (boys…). I showed him the comparison (Hematite vs Brick, Tiger Eye vs Beach) and he agreed that each shade was different (yay!). If I had to pick 3 favourite shades, which is really hard, I would pick Burgundy, Penny and Dubai.

I am so happy with both palettes! When Kylie Jenner launched her first Lipkits, I became a big fan of her cosmetic brand. I always admire her hard work and the products she released. Her Kyshadows are definitely my favourite products from her entire collection, they have the quality of a real high-end brand. The packaging is so personal and unique which made me purchase both palettes. The palette itself is light weighted and easy to take it with you when you are on the go or traveling. Only thing that is missing is a mirror, but the Holiday palette which will be available at 21th November includes a mirror. Both palettes are a piece of hard work and they perform really well.

The Bronze and Burgundy Palettes are absolutely amazing eyeshadow palettes, but if I had to recommend you one palette it would be the Burgundy Palette. This palette contains the most beautiful warm shades with a mix of warm taupe colors and pretty shimmers. When you open this palette you will get this tingly sensation (yes really). The burgundy color is the eyecatcher of this palette, everyone can rock this color! The Bronze Palette is also pretty but you may find a better alternative and also because I don’t use the black matte eyeshadow. Overall, a great collectors item for all the Kylie Cosmetics fan and beauty lovers!

You can get your own palette at Kylie CosmeticsThe Bronze Palette and The Burgundy Palette for $42,-.

Which one would you pick out? And are you getting something from her Holiday Collection?

Thanks a lot for reading x

PS: you can use the black to set eyeliner like I do to make it last

Have you tried the new zoeva palettes caramel melange and blanc fusion? I just picked up the Plaisir box from Douglas (including the ever so popular cocoa blend), I feel like with these 3 palettes we can achieve similar looks from the two Kyshadow. Zoeva is much easier to get (and much cheaper), so I think they’re very good “dupe”s (not exactly dupes but you know what I mean)!

I never try out the Zoeva eyepalettes, i did hear amazing things about their shadows. I have to agree that Kylie Cosmetics is expensive and that there better palettes out their .. but it became an addiction to collect her items haha!

I actually really like both palettes, although the burgundy one is a little more exciting maybe! I also enjoy that the pigmentation isn’t too strong. A really thorough and helpful review lovely, I’m definitely going to be looking into getting one now!
