Today I’m going to talk about the Jeffree Star Cosmetics Skin Frost in the shades Ice Cold, Lavander Snow and Peach Goddess. The highlighters are my first Jeffree Star Cosmetics items that I’ve purchased. After I received these items I also ordered a few liquid lipsticks of him because hello: the packaging is so cute! A girl can never have enough highlighters in her life and I was curious if these were better than the BECCA highlighters I already own. So let’s get started!
Jeffree Star Cosmetics is created bij Jeffree Star himself. He is a big name in de makeup world at the moment with his beautiful pink makeup products (and also negative attention around the whole Kat Von D issue). When he was a little boy he always wanted to create his own makeup line. He used to work in de fashion industry and worked with big names. Now he finally achieved his big dream and started his own makeup line which is cruelty-free! Lately I try to pay more attention to the products I use on my face and if they are tested on animals (I watched several documentaries on National Geographic with pain in my heart). That’s why I ordered more items after I received these Skin Frosts.
Our highlighting powder is extremely pigmented, so get ready to glow like a lighthouse! (Beauty tip: This product can be used on the face, eyes & body! Apply with a brush of your choice, and let yourself shine. A little goes a long way. This product can be used wet or dry, depending on your desired intensity.)
*This product is: Vegan. Cruelty-Free. Talc Free. Paraben & Gluten-Free | 15G/0.53 OZ.
NOTE: This product has a unique soft buttery formula, making it delicate so handle with care!

I’m a sucker for cute packaging, so that’s the reason why I had to get a few items from Jeffree Star Cosmetics. The Skin Frosts have a bright pink color like all the other items with the logo at the front. Inside you will find a big mirror in the size of the lid. Let me say that this highlighter is HUGE! It is bigger than the palm of your hand. I seriously didn’t expect it to be this big. That’s why these highlighters have their own storage place because they are too big for my blush drawer.
Ice Cold, Peach Goddess and Lavander Snow
Ice Cold is a frosty white, almost gold highlighter. This was one of the highlighters which made me purchase a Jeffree Star product. Sadly enough this one was always sold out and I literally had to wait months before it was back in stock. I was looking for that vavavoom effect and this one looked like the perfect item! This is not one of my favorites. I think it could be so much better! I expected it to be white and it looks more like silver/gold to me. Maybe I’m just too picky but I had high expectations about the Ice Cold Skin Frost.
The application is amazing! You only need a small amount of product to achieve that kaboom glow on your face. I also noticed when dipping my fingers into the powder, that is feels super buttery. With other highlighters I have the feeling that the powder can look a bit cakey sometimes on my skin. With the Skin Frost you don’t have this problem: even when you apply more powder onto your face, it still looks flawless and smooth! For this shade it is better to twirl your brush extra into the powder to get that super glow. I find it looks more white on my skin when I build up the product, that is the effect I want to achieve.
Peach Goddess was recommended by Elena (Instagram @elenazhang1223) because she said that this was the perfect highlighter for her summer tanned skin. The name peach already took my attention. I love peach and especially when it makes you glow! This is a shade I don’t own yet in my highlighters collection so good excuse to get this one. The peach shade looks beautiful on my NC30 skin (tanned) and now which is more like a NC20. It has a more warm glow and it looks really natural on my opinion. Not like you used a jar of glitters but a glow from within!
The same as with the Ice Cold: application is smooth, glow is beautiful and it looks great on my skin! With this shade I like to use less powder than when I use the Ice Cold. The Peach Goddess has a peach undertone (duhh) so the times I used a lot of powder it looked a bit too peachy on my skin. I want the color to show of when the light hits my face, not everytime. So a small amount will be enough to get that beautiful glow (;
Okay, this is not how I received it. When my package arrived I already noticed that the box had a lot of glitters flying around … So when I opened this highlighter I could barely breathe. The powder was shattered and it was all over the place. I fixed the highlighter with alcohol and luckily it is all repaired now. Apparently, there was a whole badge at Jeffree Star Cosmetics with broken highlighters. I was not the only one. I did received a refund for my broken highlighter within a short amount of time, so I’m really happy that they handled this well.
Now get back to the product. It is a bit unfair to talk about this highlighter because I mixed it with alcohol. It is a totally different product because this highlighter is SO much better than the others right now! I think the alcohol makes this highlighter more vibrant and stronger, because with only one dip in this powder you can create a stroke that reflects the light. Also the lavander shade is beautiful, it is my favorite shade of all of them because it shows beautifully on my skin and I got a lot of compliments when I used this shade. It still apply like butter and it stays the whole day. Maybe I should break my other highlighters to also add some alcohol? Mehhh, nobody got time for that unless it really happens to my powders.
Lavander Snow, Peach Goddess and Ice Cold
This is my favorite highlighter of all time! This beats BECCA’s highlighters (I own 4 shades) without a problem. The amount of product you get is massive, the packaging is pretty, the powders feels buttery on your skin, it doesn’t contain talc and it is cruelty-free, the glow is powerful and it is long-lasting. It is literally everything what every brand promise their customers, but Jeffree Star definitely does his work amazing.
My favorite is the Lavander Snow because the shade is absolutely beautiful on my skin and its has a more white effect than the Ice Cold, which was the reason why I had to get these highlighters. To be honest, I don’t like Jeffree Star as a person but I have a lot of respect for him now I discovered his products. I am a huge fan and I can recommend everyone to get at least one highlighter from him! You won’t regret it I can guarantee you.
Which one is your favorite?
Thanks a lot for reading x
