Today I’m going to talk about one of my favorite brands: Glamglow. I’m going to review one of their latest product: Gravity Mask Firming Treatment. I’m seriously a fan of all the Glamglow items, I own two masks and the youth cleanser. I never complained about any of those items because they all work amazing for my oily skin! That’s why I was so excited when I received this in the mail (thank you so much FS agency!). A little spoiler: this is the funniest mask I’ve ever tried. Let’s get started!
Glamglow became one of my favorite brands when it comes to face masks (in a jar, Starskin is my favorite for sheet masks). I purchased the Youthmud and the Supermud masks at the airport when I was traveling to Rome, they had a great special discount event so I got even more discount on the tax free price! I really enjoy both of these mask because they feel so luxurious on the skin and they give you instant result! That’s why I really wanted to try out their most recent mask called Gravitymud.
GRAVITYMUD™ is an Out of This World Innovative Peel Off Mud treatment that instantly leaves skin feeling firmer and more lifted. Mega-Targeted ingredients transform from White to Brilliant Chrome, delivering toned, sexy contours. Powered by TEAOXI™ Marshmallow + Licorice Leaf.
HOW TO USE
- Apply a generous, even layer to clean skin with brush in upward strokes, avoiding eyebrows and hairline.
- Leave on for 20-30 minutes.
- Treatment will change color as it dries.
- Once completely dried, gently peel off from outer edges and roll off any remaining excess.
- Use twice a week.
- Clean brush after use with soap & water and air dry.
- For best results, avoid using water anytime during process and after so targeted ingredients can remain on the skin.

Glamglow gave each of their mask a different packaging color (Youthmask: black, Supermud: white, Thirstymud: blue, Flashmud: orange, Powermud: green). I think the purple color really makes this mask look mysterious and a wishlist item. The box were the jar is stored is so pretty and fun to open, I think Glamglow did a great job with surprising their customers with a cute box. On the other side, it is not necesairly and a waste of material.
The Gravitymud jar contains 40g of product, while the Supermud contains 34g and the others 50g. Not really sure why they are so different from eachother but 40g for this product doesn’t sounds enough for me because they recommend you to apply a thick layer on the skin. Otherwise you can’t properly peel it off. But that doesn’t stop me from enjoying this mask!
The jar itself feels so luxurious when you hold it. The iconic star on the lid and the silver printing are beautiful. They included a special brush in the box for applying the mask on your face. It is really important to apply this mask evenly on your skin so a brush is a must have for this product. The brush itself is pretty small but I think everyone can work with it, otherwise you can use a foundation brush. Usually I use my Guerlain foundation brush to apply my masks.
The moment I opened the jar I noticed a cinnamon kind of smell. Not really sure what it is but its yummie (it was not marshmallow or Licorice Leaf)! The product looks liquid and it has a white/pearly color. With the brush you can easily scoop out the product out of the jar. I really recommend you using a spatula or the brush because the product feels a bit slippery.
When applying the mask on my face, I already regret that I didn’t follow the instructions. I applied a thin layer on my skin and the mask immediately started to dry out (you can see the dry patches on my chin/jaw line) , it was impossible for me to spread it over my face. So please follow the instructions: apply a generous amount onto the skin!
After I finished covering my face I waited 20 minutes before removing the mask. The color of the mask turned from pearl white to silver, it was so much fun to see myself like this! While I waited I felt really comfortable wearing this mask. It didn’t make me feel itchy or irritated and I could do all the normal things like talking and eating.
After 20 minutes the fun part came: peeling of the mask. Attention: as I said before, please apply a generous amount of product on your face, otherwise it won’t be a peeling mask but a struggle-to-peel-of mask. I had a hard time to peel it of because I was so stubborn to apply a thin layer because I didn’t want to waste too much product. While I peeled off the mask I didn’t notice that much. I saw that my skin looked a bit more neutralized but nothing special.
The moment everything was removed I finally saw the results. My skin looked less red and more even and it felt super soft! But this mask is all about getting a more sexy countered face, did it worked for me? Mehhh, not really what I expected. My skin felt more tight but it didn’t show up. That’s all.
Overall I love how my skin feels like after removing the mask and the more neutralized skin, but my chubby face stays the same. I used this mask several times but the results never changed. It’s really a pity that this Glamglow mask didn’t work out for me, some people literally sweat on their face when they use this mask. They noticed after a few times that their jaw line changed, but I’m the one (as always) who has bad luck. The sexy contours and more lifted effect don’t appear on my face.
I’m a big fan of the Glamglow Supermud mask (I can recommend everyone this mask!), but this one really disappoints me. It is also on the pricy side so I really recommend you to get a sample of this mask because I really can’t tell if this will work for you. I won’t repurchase this mask because it doesn’t do anything to my skin what they promised, only the more neutralized and soft skin. I want to love this product because peel off masks are so much fun, but sadly enough it does nothing for my skin.
