Hii everyone!
I’ve got a confession to make. I know a lot of you are with me on this one! I am OBSESSED with Korean skincare and beauty products, popularly known as K-beauty. There was a period of time in my life, during which I constantly, methodically scrolling through the pages of eBay, researching the best products and the sellers who offered the best deals for K-beauty. I was studying this as if it were my thesis. A thoughtful friend of mine asked me if I needed anything, before traveling to South Korea not long ago. (Was that even a question?) I gave her a laundry list of items and today we are going to focus on the Belif The True Cream Moisturizing Bomb. Let’s get to it!
Belif is a Korean skincare brand that is so immensely popular that even Sephora has reached across the ocean in order to offer Belif to its many customers! Their slogan is “Believe in truth, time-trusted apothecary meets modern Korean skincare science“. The brand’s products are all dermatologist tested and clinically proven. With my oily/acne-prone skin it is a relief to know that this product is rigorously and thoroughly tested. I can place my usual anxiety, regarding any sudden breakouts or awful reactions, to the side. In fact, one of the main reasons I was so curious to try this product was because of Sephora’s interest in the brand. I asked myself, “Why is this pillar of the industry so eager to have Belif?” So, I set out in search of answers. Let’s continue with the facts!
Which skin type is it good for?
✔ Normal
✔ DryWhat it is:
A comforting moisturizing cream that provides skin with intense hydration, leaving it supple, smooth, and deeply nourished.Solutions for:
– Dryness
– Loss of firmness and elasticityIf you want to know more…
The True Cream Moisturizing Bomb is a comforting moisture cream that provides the skin with intense, soothing hydration. Clinically tested to provide up to 26 hours of moisture, this uniquely indulgent formula leaves skin soft, supple, and deeply moisturized. This formula contains a blend of apothecary herbs, including comfrey leaf, a powerful hydrating agent. The cushiony cream format is designed to ‘burst’ when applied, releasing a flood of moisture onto skin, and then absorb completely without stickiness for a healthy, smooth, supple appearance. What it is formulated WITHOUT:
– Parabens
– Sulfates
– PhthalatesWhat else you need to know:
This dermatologist tested product is free of mineral oil, petrolatum, synthetic preservatives, dyes, and fragrances, and animal origin ingredients. The True Cream Moisturizing Bomb was the number one selling product in Korea’s highly competitive selective beauty market across all categories.
Now, while that is fantastic information, you all know me…I love the packaging! The box looks cute, yet sophisticated and the description is in English which is very convenient. Korean beauty products are known for their cute and colorful packaging, but the Belif collection looks very cosmopolitan and “apothecary”. I really find the classic aesthetic of their product packaging striking because it conveys the confidence that Belif has in the products themselves. The Belif brand evokes a feeling of reliability, standing for honesty and truth. Many consumers are loyal to the brand.
The jar is absolutely gorgeous in a simple, minimalistic way. The cap has an unexpected shape which is quite unique. I am starting to fall even more in love with this brand. This would look perfect on anyone’s vanity no matter what their style may be.
Upon opening the cap you will see the safety lid. Once the safety lid is removed, you may catch the hint of a light, fresh scent. It is not overwhelming, but rather just the perfectly clean natural aroma of the ingredients. The texture of this moisturizer is light and appears very fluffy, almost comparable to a steam cream/aqua gel texture.
Woaaw, this has a truly exceptional feel to it! When applied to the back of my hand it immediately sinks into my skin. I did not massage it in with my fingers, I didn’t need to! I simply placed the product on my finger, and swiped it across my hand. As you can see, the entire line of moisturizer disappears, absorbed into my skin.
Naturally, I then had to experience the True Cream Moisturizing Bomb on my face… My first instinct is knowing that this moisturizer will replace my current favorite (Embryolisse Lait Creme). The moment I apply the Belif cream on my face it immediately disappears into the skin. There is no rubbing required, which is perfect for the delicate areas near the eyes. My skin feels instantly soft with no sticky feeling, oiliness or residue. The most impressive aspect (which takes me by surprise) is that my skin actually feels plumper and lifted with this cream, as if my skin had been parched and then given a glass of water. My skin has a smoother surface, appearing and feeling hydrated. I must say here that I have very oily skin, however I think the other reviewers with my skin type are correct. The Belif cream provides just the right amount of hydration. Although I still have oily skin throughout the day, it’s not any more than usual.
Belif The True Cream – Moisturizing Bomb is suitable for every skin type! Those with dry/combination skin will adore this cream since it provides a boost of hydration that lasts forever. I continue to struggle with my own super oily skin. I haven’t yet found the solution to getting the right amount of moisturizer, without the effect of getting more oily than I usually am after a few hours. It seems that every cream I’ve tried (even those which advertise the promise of a long-lasting matte finish) has the same results. However, I am really pleased that this product happened to be a success for me, even though it is recommended for normal/dry skin. I will definitely be repurchasing this cream!
You can order your own belif The True Creme Moisturizing Bomb here at the Sephora.com webshop for $38,-.

I love Korean beauty products too, Whamisa being one of my favourite brands. But this would be great night time moisturiser for me. As I have oily combination skin just like you, we also need a good dose of moisture right?
Great article loved reading it. X

Oh great review babe! I have the Aqua Bomb and it’s one of my favorites, I love to use it on days that I really layer on acids and use a clay mask. Where did you buy your Belif product? The packaging looks so different than what’s sold here! I like it! 馃檪

That looks like a really great product!
