Foreo Luna mini 2 VS Clarisonic Mia 2

Foreo Luna mini 2 VS Clarisonic Mia 2

Hii everyone!

Today I am going to compare my two cleaning devices:  the Foreo Luna Mini 2 and the Clarisonic Mia 2! I owned the Clarisonic for over a year now but lately I purchased the Foreo to see which one works better. I’ve tested these two devices long enough to tell you today: which one is better?

Before I owned one of these two devices I always thought that my face was clean, I used a micellaire water to take of my makeup or I used a face wash. An old college of me told that she couldn’t life without her Clarisonic anymore and that she noticed that her skin was so much different: more radiant and that the skin care would soak into the skin faster. I just purchased the pink Clarisonic Mia 2 to see if she was right: a m a z i n g! I noticed that my skin was so soft and looked more brighter after only one use!

The webshop Lookfantastic.com had an amazing offer on their Foreo devices. I never really pay attention on their products because I already own the Clarisonic, but in the name of the blogger world I had to know which one works better so I bought it. I heard many people rave about both devices BUT I saw a lot of Clarisonic users betray their Mia and choose the Foreo instead. I had to know why so that was also the big reason why I bought the Foreo while I still own the amazing Clarisonic.

Foreo LUNA mini 2 – The Foreo is a device that is made out of silicon’s. The bristles have different functions: the small bristles are for every skin, on top you see that the bristles are thicker which are for your nose area and the backside is for people with oily skin or when you need some more texture. This device uses vibrates to “shake” off the makeup from your skin. It is really gentle for the skin and they even sell different types of Foreo’s depending on your skin type. It is fully waterproof so you can even use this under the shower. The LUNA mini 2 is capable to set the vibration power to low or high. The size is just perfect, it fits easy in your hand and the size and shape of the LUNA mini 2 is good enough to use all over the face. When you fully recharge your device it will last 5 months untill you have to charge again. You get a cable which you can put in your USB port from your computer to charge your device. I payed €115 that time because of a speciale offer, but the officiale price is €129,-.

Pros:

  • you only need to charge it every 5 months
  • there is no brush you need to replace every other time
  • it is waterproof
  • you can set the device harder or slower
  • you only pay one time €129,-

Cons:

  • some spots are hard to reach like my neck
  • you only receive a USB cable to charge it, no plug
  • skin doesn’t always feels softer after or clean

Clarisonic Mia 2 – The Clarisonic is a brush device which rotates to get the makeup of your face. Here I use the Deep Pore Brush, but when you purchase your first Clarisonic you always receive the Sensitive Brush with it. Clarisonic advises you to replace your brush every 3 month’s, a new brush head will cost you at least €25,- depending on which type brush you choose. This device is also waterproof so it is safe to use it everywhere without being worried. The brush can reach every spot on your face and the device is easy to hold. The Mia 2 is capable to set the rotate speed harder or slower with the upper button, but I like the standard program when you start you Clarisonic. You receive a travel case to take your Mia 2 on the go and a charger. When you fully charge your Mia 2, it will last about 1/1,5 week. I payed €149,- for the Mia 2.

Pros:

  • it is waterproof
  • I can reach every spot perfectly
  • you can change the brush with a different type (deep pore, sensitive, luxe etc.)
  • face feels super soft after I used it
  • face looks instantly brighter

Cons:

  • you need to buy a new brush every 3 months (at least €25,-)
  • if you use your Mia often, you have to charge it every week
  • hard to clean the brush
  • device with one brush is €149,-

Personally I like the Clarisonic Mia 2 more BUT financially I would pick for the Foreo LUNA mini 2.

The Clarisonic works so much better for me than the Foreo. I see and feel more difference than when I use the Foreo. I also like the feeling of the brush rotating instead of the vibrations from the Foreo. It has a more spa feeling to me. But the most important thing is that my skin really cleares up after using the Clarisonic for a while!

The Foreo is over time so much more cheaper than the Clarisonic. Sometimes I get frustrated to purchase a new brush for my Mia 2 because it is expensive and they never go on sale here in the Netherlands. You only purchase the device and for the rest of your life you don’t need to purchase anything else for your Foreo.

I recommend both of these devices but I can’t say which one is better for you. My opinion is really personal and your chose will also depend on you skin type. I am a super oily girl so I really need a peeling and a brush to get my face clean. But I can say that both devices, the Clarisonic Mia 2 and the Foreo LUNA mini 2, are both amazing!

Do you already own a cleansing device? Which one would you pick?

Thanks a lot for reading x

    Hello An,
I own the Clarisonic Mia in baby pink, just like yours. I received it as a gift and started using it at the beginning of last year. Skin felt very clean, but after some months I quit every foam cleanser from my skincare routine and therefore stop using Clarisonic too, as I thought it was being too aggressive for my skin. Today I got a new head (I went shopping to sephora with my mum, she got a new head for hers so I felt like it was time for me to give it another chance).
I’ve never felt any attraction toward the Foreo, mostly because of its weird shape, which made me think it’s not easy to reach every “corner” of the face. I’m glad I was right. And I must say that I think you can even change the head of the Clarisonic less often, like once every 4-5 months. What do you think?
It’s always nice to read this kind of reviews where two products are compared, thanks.

    xx

Thanks for reading!! I owned the Sensitive and the Deep Pore brush, but if u think it is too aggressive for u I recommend the Cashmere Luxe brush. That one has the most softness bristles! Yeaa the last brush I replaced was 4/5 months old because I didnt used it that often because I was also using the Foreo to test out. It really depends on how often u use it and u might clean your brush in hot water ;p but like I said its really personal but for me the Clarisonic works sooo much better!

      xx
