Hii everyone!
A lot of the times when I order something online, it is from an UK webshop. One of them is www.lookfantastic.com. They have amazing offers and a big range of brands that they sell exclusively. For a while I have been doing research about the many beautyboxes that are available at this moment. I was looking for a box that offered well-known brands but also high end products. In The Netherlands they offered a few beautyboxes which I all tried but I was never really satisfied. But then I found Lookfantastic. I already ordered beauty products from them but I never actually tried their beautybox subscription from them.
Now for those of you that don’t know, a beautybox is a monthly subscription filled with beauty suprises. Kind of like Hellofresh. You get a mix of samples but also a couple of full size products.
Lookfantastic offers various subscriptions:
- One time (€20,45)
- 3 months (€17,95 each month)
- 6 months (€16,95 each month)
- 12 months (€15,45 each month)
I went with the 12 months subscription because I don’t want to miss a thing. Do you know that feeling that you just ended your beautybox subscription and the next month they have amazing products? I had that all the time, so I want to make sure that this time I receive those amazing items! When I payed my subscription the February box was already sold out, so I received the March beautybox.
In every March box you received the ELLE UK April 2016. I think it is great they put the magazine in it because it is worth 4,10 pounds. This is an edition with a lot of Spring items, good timing!
So this was what I received! This beautybox was all about the products that were favorite items from Paris, New York and London. It was packed in a beautiful purple paper and the beautybox itself matched perfectly. When I opened my box I noticed that my items were sticky, then I saw that the Energy &Immunity sachet was ripped open! Too bad, luckily it was not that much so I could still use the sachet.
The first item is the Revlon Colorburst Lip Balm in 105 Demure. It is a balm infused with a butter complex of Shea, Mango and Coconut Butter. This creates a really soft application and a non-sticky feeling on your lips. It is just a hint of hydration and essential moisture with a pop of color. This item just launched and it is already available at Lookfantastic. This lip balm look a lot like the Clinique Chubby sticks, they have the same texture and finish. I can’t say which one I prefer more because they look almost the same!
I was so happy when I saw this! I always wanted to have something From Caudalie. It is the Micellar Cleansing Water which gently removes and cleanses make up from your eyes and face in one simple step. It is soap-free and hypoallergenic, suitable for all-skin types! For a long time I used the Micellar Cleansing Water from Lancôme (I used 3 bottles of 400ml), but I am always looking for better products. Maybe this will beat the Lancôme.
This was an editor’s pick for the March beautybox: Codage Masque Hydrant Moisturizing Mask. It is a deeply hydrating mask that will leave the skin nourished and looking healthy thanks to the unique moisturizing properties. The texture is a rich emulsion which works to banish signs of dryness and damage. This brand is unknown to me, so I’m excited to try this product out!
I already owned a tube of the Ultra Repair Cream from First Aid Beauty and I loved it. I used this cream when I was in New York when it was -17 Celsius and with this cream my skin survived the coldness! It says that it is clinically proven after two weeks of use that your skin improved 169% in skin hydration. And I even tested this out in New York for 10 cold days. A must have!
The Nuxe Creme Prodigieuse is a lightweight moisturizer that is formulated with Blue Ageratum and Blue Everlasting Flower which helps reduce inflammation and redness. It is free from any parabens and non comedogenic, so it doesn’t block the pores. It is suitable for normal to combination skin, while I am a combination/oily skin. I hope this product will work for me. Lookfantastic.com sells the Nuxe line for a long time and I always wanted to try something from them. Now it is my chance, very excited.
Whooo, right on time! For a while I had a really bad stomach flu and I still don’t feel very well. It is the Emergen-C Energy release & Immunity support. Add some water and stir and you have an amazing energy drink with a delicious taste. I tried it because my sachet was ripped open. I didn’t feel that I had more energy but I noticed that I was more awake. I never heard of this, but my little sister knew that Michelle Phan used to drink this back in the days (yay to Michelle Phan!).
A cute Blending Brush from Lottie London. It says that it picks up the right amount of product and that you can create a pretty curved shape for smoky eyes. I have the feeling that the bristles are too long to blend it out compared to my other blending brushes. But I need to test it out first.
Overall I am pretty surprised by the items but happy that they are in the box. My favorite is the sachet with Energy & Immunity support and the Caudalie Micellar Cleansing Water. I still have to see if the products work for me but I think all these items are totally worth the 15.45 euro’s!
Do you have a subscription on a beautybox? I think it is so sad that the Ipsy beauty box doesn’ t ship to the Netherlands.
Thanks a lot for reading x
